This is a 3 hour introduction to Safeguarding Children and course covers:

  • The main categories of abuse and the forms it can take
  • Possible signs & indicators of abuse
  • Key legislation & regional guidance
  • Know how to respond to a child/young person who discloses abuse
  • Know how to report concerns

Date: Thursday 20th February 2020

Venue:  North West Volunteer Centre, 22 Bishop St (entrance via 1a London Street) BT48 6PP

Time:  6.30 - 9.30pm

Cost:  Free training for volunteers & volunteer involving organisations in the DCSDC area

Participants will receive a certificate of attendance.

Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis and are limited to 2 per organisation.  Please request a booking form from the volunteer centre through enquiry form or by telephone 028 71 271 017
