Fighting Words Volunteer Mentors - The Playhouse

Fighting Words is an exciting new venture being undertaken by The Playhouse.   Volunteer Mentors will engage and collaborate with school groups encouraging creative writing and developing confidence.

Fighting Words was established in Dublin 11 years ago by the well known novelist and writer Roddy Doyle, who is one of the patrons now.  Over the years the project has grown from strength to strength and is popping up all over the country.

The Playhouse are actively seeking Volunteer Mentors to help with the delivery of workshops.  Creative writing or teaching experience is not required as all training will be provided.  All that is required is that volunteers have an active interest in nourishing young people and empowering them.

For more information about the role please contact the North West Volunteer Centre.
