The 1:1 service is designed as a standalone service, and is specifically short term to encourage onward engagement with peer support which is known to have long term benefits in condition management. The 1:1 volunteer will phone the beneficiary once a week for up to 4 weeks to talk them through self-management tools in a way which is appropriate to that person's individual circumstances.
