Youth Support Worker - WELB

Lisnafin/Ardnalee Community centre
Monday evenings from 6pm – 10pm
Main Purpose of the Role
To enable young people to experience and contribute to the WELB youth programme activities, which are fun, safe, social and educational. (team building, developing self confidence).
What will volunteers be required to do?
To work directly with local young people (aged 11- 17yr olds) to develop their social education through programmes. 
Build rapport with young people and listen to concerns
Provide information and support to young people
Help create a positive environment for young people 
To supervise young people and ensure general health & safety and rules of conduct 
To facilitate and participate in games, activities and discussions with young people
Good communication 
Ability to work with others – a team player
An Interest or experience in working with young people 
Willingness to learn 
Ability to use initiative
Passion and enthusiasm
Patience  & understanding
Friendly and approachable
A good listener
