Volunteer Mentor - Sported

Sported is a leading Sport for Development charity, and supports over 3000 grass roots community groups across the UK who transform the lives of disadvantaged young people through sport.  Membership is free for groups using sport for social change in their local communities, and currently there are 230 member groups across Northern Ireland.  Through an expert staff team and Volunteer Mentors they provide free advice, training and mentoring to improve the capacity and sustainability of clubs and ensure they're fit for the future.

In NI, Sported has built up a team of 20 fantastic Volunteer Mentors, all with a range of experience and skills, including business planning, financial management, marketing, fundraising and youth development.  Sported volunteers are dynamic and talented individuals who all bring something unique to the table, along with an enthusiasm and passion for supporting Sported members.  As one of the mentors describes "The most rewarding part of the role is seeing the group develop to such an extent that you can walk away - to me that's very important."

If you would like to find out how you can become a Volunteer Mentor please contact the North West Volunteer Centre for more information.
