The project also aims to support and encourage volunteer involving organisations to consider and encourage older people into volunteering roles within their organisation.
Find your one good reason to volunteer!
It’s easy to find plenty of reasons not to do things, but when we find one good reason to do something, we usually do it.
Find your one good reason to give volunteering a go! It’s fun, rewarding and on your terms, there’s a role to match your interests and the time that you can commit.
Interested in participating in the project?
Are you already registered with the Northwest volunteer centre, or thinking about it? Does your organisation already involve older volunteers, or would like some support around how to recruit & retain older volunteers, if so the Unlocking Potential project can provide you with ideas and support. We also run regular events throughout the Northwest to groups of older people to whet their appetite for volunteering. If your organisation would be interested in participating in any of these events or advertising your current volunteering opportunities within the Northwest Volunteer Centre, please do not hesitate to contact us.
